Welcome to Ivory Gabel. Tucked between Springfield and Branson, this uniquely designed woodland cabin is a getaway awaiting. The large panoramic porch is the highlight — perfect for relaxing and sipping your morning coffee. At night, there’s an outdoor movie-theatre experience around the fire, with the Ozarks wildlife for company.
It’s a rustic-yet-modern cabin about fifteen minutes from the nearest town, with woodland and farmland behind it and no neighbour in your sightline. Trip101 named it a Best Secluded Cabin, and 436 guests have since agreed.
Every corner has something in it. The Fox Den, a nook to get lost in a good book. An upstairs tree-line porch for listening to a favourite record. A mini treehouse art spot down in the trees. Even the master closet is a little pop-up shop. Firewood, farm-fresh eggs and local Ozark Mountain Coffee are waiting to start your stay right.

It wraps the whole cabin. Layered rugs, a hanging egg chair, a long timber table for dinner, and a swing bed piled with sheepskin. Coffee here in the morning is the entire point — and when the string lights come on, nobody goes inside.
A nook of your own
The Fox Den
An arched, deep-green reading nook lined floor to ceiling with books and lit by a small brass fox. Kids claim it within about four minutes of arriving. Adults claim it back after bedtime.

Ivory Gabel sits on top of a wooded hill about fifteen minutes from the nearest town, with woodland and farmland behind it and no neighbour in your sightline. It is genuinely quiet — the loudest thing most nights is the Ozarks wildlife.
Hootentown Canoe Rental is within walking distance and Lavender Falls is six minutes down the road. Mountain Springs Trout Park is about five miles out. You are twenty-five minutes from Springfield — Bass Pro and Wonders of Wildlife — and forty minutes from Branson, Silver Dollar City, Top of the Rock and Table Rock Lake.
Closer to home, canoe or kayak the James and Finley rivers with Finley & James River Co., then wander the Ozarks for hidden-gem coffee shops, cafés, bike parks and antique stores.

Hi, I’m Cortney. What started as a rehabbed-cabin getaway idea during Covid in 2019 turned into a new passion: Gabel Cabins.
I was born and raised on a cattle farm — Gabel Farm in Salem, Missouri — studied art abroad in Italy and Greece with Missouri State, and work daily in real estate and design. I’m also a mom of two. All of that goes into every corner of Ivory Gabel: the arched Fox Den, the wood-slice counters, the treehouse in the woods.
Ivory Gabel is co-hosted with Misty, so there’s always someone quick to answer.

Commercial photography is welcome. Elopements, seniors, families and brand shoots all work here — and the onsite Art Studio Cabin is often used by photographers.

Small creative workshops, retreats and celebrations. The long porch table seats a crowd, and the fire pit handles the rest of the evening.
